  • Radar solution for Liquid Metal Filling Level Measurement

OndoSense Molten Metal Radar (E) - OndoSense

With the OndoSense radar sensors, the fill level of liquid steel or aluminum can be measured contact-free with sub-millimeter accuracy, even at metal temperatures of up to 1600 degrees Celsius. Dust, steam, smoke, vibrations and strong heat radiation have no influence on the high precision and reliability of the radar-based molten metal level monitoring. Active cooling of the level radar is usually not necessary.

  • Capacitive Proximity Sensors

    SICK Sensor Intelligence

Sometimes you need to know what is hidden beneath a surface. Behind a wall, for example, inside a storage container, inside a shipping container, or behind a cover. Capacitive proximity sensors are ideal for level and feed monitoring. From solid material, such as paper or wood, to granules or liquids, they can be relied upon to detect what is happening in the production process and during final inspection. Is there something behind that cover? Is the finished package really full? How much paint is still left in the tank? For capacitive proximity sensors, these are easy questions to answer. SICKs capacitive proximity sensors are never far from the action. Sensing ranges between 1 and 25 mm allow them to be used in nearly all installation situations, making them extremely adaptable for a wide range of applications. These sensors are also remarkably resistant to interference. Impurities, contamination, dust, and airborne spray particles have little effect on them, nor does electromagnetic interference. No wonder they are installed in a wide range of industries, such as food and automotive, or in storage and conveyor systems.

  • Microelectro Mechanical Systems And MEMS Sensors

    NevadaNanotech Systems, Inc.

NevadaNano has spent a decade integrating multiple, complementary chemical sensors on a single silicon chip. We call it the Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™). The MPS Gas Sensor works together to measure a variety of thermodynamic and electrostatic molecular properties of sampled vapors, liquids, and particles. In less than a second, the chip creates a large, rich dataset of chemical information. Then, Custom MPS software identifies the types of molecules present in an unknown sample.

  • Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter

    DM231 - AMETEK Drexelbrook

The Drexelbrook DM231 is an explosion proof liquid level transmitter offering high accuracy measurements based on the magnetostrictive sensing technology. The DM231 comes with a Modbus RTU digital output (optional analog output converter available) for total level, interface level and temperature sensor outputs. Sensors are available in 316SS rigid designs with a choice of single or dual NPT mountings. Temperature sensors are evenly distributed over the active length of the rigid 316SS tube.Due to a wide selection of floats and mounting accessories this level transmitter fits virtually any application. The DM231 level transmitter is FM approved for Class 1 Div. 1, Zone 1 Explosion Proof hazardous area installations. It is easy to install and requires no calibration.

  • Hazardous Flow Testing

    National Technical Systems

NTS performs pressure, flow, and combined testing programs on flexlines, piping, storage vessels and measurement and control systems utilizing the actual fluids that these systems will use in service. NTS has the ability to test anything from heat exchangers, meters, sensors, valves and filters to high pressure storage tanks (such as those on launch vehicles and satellites) and rocket test stand fuel systems utilizing any of the following: liquid fuels, gasoline, JP1, hypergols, hydrogen, oxygen, steam, diesel, nitrogen, Skydrol, kerosene, cryogenics, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and other substances.

  • Portable Calibration Baths

    6109A / 7109A - Fluke Calibration

The Fluke Calibration 6109A and 7109A Portable Calibration Baths are liquid baths that let process industry professionals calibrate four times more sanitary sensors per batch in less time and with twice the accuracy of other portable baths in this class. Larger than micro baths, up to four tri-clamp sanitary sensors fit easily into these baths for calibration at ± 0.1 °C temperature display accuracy. Throughput is even higher for sanitary RTDs with small or no flanges. Two bath models cover a wide temperature range: 35 °C to 250 °C for the 6109A and -25 °C to 140 °C for the 7109A. Each model offers a “-P” version that includes process electronics for connecting an external reference probe. Professionals working in clean process industries, including facilities managers, production engineers and calibration technicians, prefer these baths for a variety of reasons.

  • Displacement Transducers

    Procter & Chester Measurements Ltd

Pressure: Measures gas or liquid pressure. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from expanding. The transducer generates a signal from the pressure imposed upon it. Torque: Measures the torque (or twisting motion) on a static or rotating system. The static torque element has little movement and therefore more economic to manufacture and purchase. Rotary or dynamic torque is more complicated as the signal needs to be transferred using slip rings, wireless telemetry or rotary transformers/inductance technology so that the strain gauged shaft can continuously rotate. Displacement: Measures distance. The displacement transducers that PCM offer are slightly different to standard units. They have a strain gauge/wheatstone bridge. The benefit here is that if the customer has existing electronics that uses strain gauge/load cell technology, they can use them with these sensors.

  • Integrated Gas Alarm & Control System

    MCX-32 - Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection

The MCX-32 controller features a flexible design that allows the user to customize a system by choosing from a selection of individually addressable field devices or use addressable input and output modules. Detcon’s full range of gas sensors (purchased separately) can be used to create a gas detection system consisting of toxic gas, combustible gas, and/or oxygen deficiency. A wide range of field devices such as liquid level, temperature, pressure, flow, etc., can also be configured for input to the control system. Four standard I/O modules are available: a 4-channel 4-20mA input module (DA-4), a 4-alarm relay output module (RL-4), a 4-channel 4-20mA output module (AO-4), and a 4-relay contact input module (DI-4). I/O modules are din-rail mounted and stackable allowing for seamless system expansion. The I/O modules may be mounted within the main system enclosure or in separate enclosures suitable for the area classification where installation will occur. In many cases using distributed I/O nodes can significantly reduce wiring and installation costs.
